Divergence thinking process involves a free-thinking attitude on any one topic. When you think of as many aspects as possible about any one topic or subject, you are thinking in a divergent manner.

This is looking at the same thing from many different angles and finally your convergent process of thinking helps you to bring all those aspects together to come to a coherent and cognitive conclusion.

When you think of anything in a one-track manner, you delete all feasible possibilities that are related to that particular topic or problem. It is like wearing blinkers and thinking, cutting out the panoramic viewpoint. Thus it is vital to have a divergent, convergent process in your thinking to enable you to reach a proper conclusion.
